I think the sequence is: 1st ver. - 2nd ver. - 3rd (non ASPH) version - ASPH version. I must admit that the pics taken with the ASPH are in a class of its own. While there have been much discussion about the merits of each of the versions, and I have not seen the bokeh by any other versions, I have found mine perform very much to my liking. It is very light and takes great pictures with just the right saturation. I just got back the 16x20 enlargement of the same picture which I was speaking about and the sharpness is incredible. The lack of grain was very much an Ektar 25 attribute but the picture seem to breathe a life of its own. With the ASPH being highly pursued, there should be many good buys of the older versions in the market. Enjoy shooting! Dan K.
