According to Ghester Sartorius (Carta d'Identita delle Leica, I don't hav= e the English name of the book here) outside = of the 2500 Chrome "1913-1983" M4-P, there are only 500 M4-P chrome. Of which, I guess only a few ?? are with the M6 windows. The problem is that mine is not in the number list that Mr. Sartorius (or= Leitz) assign to Chrome M4-P's, but to black M4-P's. But that M4-P is really rare anyway and prices I have seen are around 1900$. BTW that happen very often with other Guides to. My MD-2 has a M4-2 number and my SL-MOT black lack a SL chrome number **.= And several M lenses I have are with number from 1 or 2 years before there official release. Don't trust the various Leica Guides as far as number, years and quantity produced are concern. They are only indicative. Lucien BELGIUM
