Laney reports s/n 2.015.701 to 2.077.500 for 1964, and
s/n 2.077.501 to 2.156.300 for 1965. So, I'd group Bill's
4/90 Elmar into the 1965 production series, if the
s/n is 2.090.878. 

If it looks like a 2.8/90 Elmarit, has f-stop 32, and filter size
E 39 additionally, it should be a 3-lens Elmar for sure.
