Subject: [Leica] 75-200 zoom again

Ted,

I agree with you that the zoom lens made by Minolta doesn't feel good
mechanically. However the glass seems to be good in the lens that I have
seen (75-200). It would be very interesting to hear your experiences
with the new lens when you get it.

The shop has now lowered the price from $1600 (gee!!!) to $600. He
didn't know what it was worth and therefore extremely overestimated the
price. But is $600 cheap or just an ordinary price? Don Chatterton has
one 80-200 for $550, and Tamarkin one 80-200 for $795.

The 75-200 is a later construction, and maybe better?? Opinions?
