The idea, of course, is to trade on the prestige of the Leica reputation in the upscale general consumer market. We're concerned that this practice will degrade the Leica reputation, diffuse its product image, so that Leica becomes a trade name rather than the symbol of The best in photographic equipment and optical instruments. Solms must bite the bullet on this matter if the Leica logo is to continue to mean anything. That income producing gimmick could backfire. Bob
