Visit the Friends of Photography Center on 4th St., right across from the
Moscone Center. Permanent Ansel Adam exhibit, with revolving
photographersas well.  Good book selection.

Check the SF Chronicle Sunday "Pink Section" for a listing of photography
exhibits. Most are in retail galleries, but some are also in museums in the
area.

Keeble & Schucat is probably the best retail store in northern california;
you could even take the train from the SF 4th st. station near Moscone
Center and get off at the Palo Alto California Ave. station, about 1 hour.
Driving there takes 45 minutes from SF. The store is on that street, about
two blocks away. Very good used selection of Leica gear; prices comparable
to Shutterbug advertisers.

Reed's Camera in Walnut Creek also has a good selection of used Leica;
prices seem a bit high however. One thing of note is that they stock Leica
Fotographie magazines.
