I went to Cabo in Fall of 94 on a scuba diving trip  that left by boat from=
 there so carried a ton of stuff including camera gear. I registered=
 everything with US Customs before leaving - you get a small form which they=
 stamp after you fill it out (it took several forms to list all the gear=
 including Swedish scuba regulators!) . Had no problem on return which was=
 through LAX. Advise you to do the same.
