This whole conversation is pretty silly. I shoot more than 50% of my images
without looking throught the viewfinder. Some because they are made with a
4x5, others because the camera is on a tripod and I'm looking over it.
Portrait photographers everywhere have long known that if you look over or
around the camera you can both relax your subject and see the subtle
details of their expresions better. 

Viewfinders are important to people who DON'T know how to see a photgraph
without a camera. For me the Leica M is valuable because it gives me the
least viewfinder of any camera I use.
