I'm very sorry that the one person who knew the truth about
the Leica-Duncan stories passed away one year ago. Bob
Schwalberg worked for E.Leitx, Wetzlar for many years,
doing PR and instruction books and product development.
I believe Bob was in Wetzlar in the days of the MP. 
He did, at one time, own a few of the first ones produced.
As far as silent cameras? Bob told me that the world's
greated Leica repair person is Norman Goldberg in Wisc.
Norman would take a Leica apart and put it together in
such as way as to make it work smoother and quieter.
I think Genius, was a word Bob used to describe Norman's
Leica ability. Ed Meyers
