It was a real treat to get to chat with these two fine photographers, and a reminder of what a resource this group is. Tina not only brought her Noctilux but mounted it on her M6 fitted with a Tom Abrahams Rapidwinder. (She's got two.) That makes for one formidable and weighty picture-taking machine. It also made it pretty easy to identify Tina when we entered the crowded restaurant. It was the first chance I've had to examine the Rapidwinder up close, and it certainly is as silky smooth in operation as the camera it is attached to. It lives up to the Leica standard, even if it doesn't bear the name. I also got my hands on some of the magazines that carry Harrison's pictures, and they are filled with really wonderful work -- sports, scenics and people. He has an incredible shot of the Panthers quarterback at the instant he was struck in the jaw and injured early this season. Tack sharp, of course. I'm afraid I didn't come away from the football game with any picture of that quality, but I did have a great time seeing friends both old and new. I had a Leica moment at the game too. At one point I draped my long lens over my shoulder and worked the Packers bench with the M6 and 35/2. One of the Fox TV guys walked over and said, "What kind of a camera is that?" I had to laugh. Anyhow, it's great to meet other Lugs, and I hope to do so again. Both Harrison and Tina are impressive image-makers, regardless of equipment, and very pleasant company.
