What amazed me was that these guys were less politicised that the run of the mill Joe who didn't go. They were more interested in getting on with their lives. True, some of the images are compelling, such as Utt's photo of the girl with the napalm burns running up the road, but in the recent A&E program- " The Girl in the Picture" the follow up was also compelling. Both the photographer and his subject are getting on with their lives- the girl is an American citizen now, and has lovely children who will hopefuly never see the sort of conflict their mother saw. I agree with the feeling that I got from the program that compelling photography can bring changes. I also agree that this thread has been driven into the ground. Dan
