Only you can answer that question. I think the R8 is a better camera. It's
more flexible, you can do more with it. But the M6 is a wonderful body too.

Whoever said that is full of baloney. Some are, some aren't. They are
equal, pretty much when comparing systems. Some R lenses are better than
their counterparts than M, and visa versa.

The Contax lenses are great too. But they are often slow. 2.8 being the
fast for a give focal length. And they are much more blue in color
rendition than Leica lenses. Some people say the Leica lenses are more "warm."

The 24 ASPH is a 2.8 lens. So it's not a speed lens. The 35/90 or 75 is
ieal for starters. Then fill in later as you see a need for either wider or
longer than what you have.

There is no such thing as a lens that has no vignetting or aberrations.
Physically impossible. Get over it. It isn't going to happen. Optics aren't
like that.

Very few lenses can be at their best wide open. I can think of one. 180 3.4
Apo Telyt. You will not find a lens made by anybody in the wide angle range
that fits that bill. But you will find the best 1.4 lenses in the Leica
line. So stop worrying about it, and go for it!
