I've had a Russian 35mm finder which was nearly half a frame adrift, resulting in missing people/faces/etc..... And a Japanese 28mm finder (Komura) which shows almost 21mm size frame. If you can compare the two images side by side by placing some thin ground glass or tissue paper over the film gate, having removed the back, then you'll be able to see what (if any) adjustments might need to be made. jem K ---------- From: 'leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us' To: KIMEJ44; 'leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us' Subject: Re: Footloose Finders? Date: 13 November 1997 21:25 I just sent my Leica (plastic) 21 finder back from whence it came, and have just received a Japanese-made finder imported by Bower (it's the one Adorama sells with their "generic" 21mm Leica-mount lens). The finder is HUGE compared to the Leica (it's round, and the front element fits an older 39mm Leica lenscap, to give some idea of the size) but the payoff is the image is also huge and bright. And, it's ALL METAL and finished in Leica-lookalike-satin chrome with "21mm" neatly engraved and blacked-in on top. For $200 new it works for me! Doc
