But logos are a lot more restrictive. We still have to get Zeiss's permission to run a Zeiss Ikon logo in the Zeiss Historica Society Journal, and Zeiss pulled the plug on Zeiss Ikon in '72. One interesting note: German companies are often slow to respond. Advising them you're going to use it if you don't hear from them in, say, ninety days often results in silence: by the time they've made a corporate decision, six months have passed on.
