Hi,

I'm Jorge Alvarez from Paris. (I'm French with very strong Spanish origins!).
Let says that I'm European.

Age: 31 (but I feel 30 in my mind)
Not married, no kids but a nice girlfriend for a few years now.

I've studied computers and currently work for Ericsson.
(I worked in Ireland and Sweden, and took loads of photos there)

Some years ago I was (and still) very much implied into music, (I
played and still playing in a r'n'b/rock/pop band, drums)
and that was everything to me. Then I discover photography.
(Ok, Daguerre did it first!). Now looking back on the last years
I'm amazed on how much place photography took in my life and how
important it is to me. Sometimes too much. (Note that I'm an amateur,
not pro at all).

I mainly do street photography and shoot 90% B&W for 10% of slides.
Message to God: Next time make the weeks 10 days long, that way I'll spend
3 days/week in the lab. Normal life is too short to do everything.

Back to Leicas now:
I have and use leicas for the last 3 years
(I've first got a M4-2+MR4+35 in Sweden) (to Dennis Painter: that was your MR4!)
M6 black (second hand, I've trade in the M4-2 and MR4 for it)
M4 chromed (Very nice)
M3DS (a real user)
28 Rokkor
35 Summicron
50 Summicron(70's)

I use the M4 and M3 without meter at all (BW only) and with some practice
it is not much a problem anymore.

I also use a F3HP and FE-2 with 24,35/2,50/1.4 and 180mm (the 24/2.8
and the 180mmED are just amazing lenses).

Thanks to the lUG which is most of the time an interesting place where
to be.

/Jorge
