Profession: photographer / cinematographer. Wildlife-, nature-, environmental- and photojournalistic photography and cinematography. Next to macrophotography and photomicroscopy, I am a specialist on the issue "man-nature-animal relations". I use Leica's for 25 years, starting with a Leica III (l933) which I got as a present from a neighbar! During my education as a photographer I started with a brooken Leica M3 (viewfinder: "black"= brooken prism. After repair it served me for several years as my starting Leica with a Summicron 35mm. Now I use several M-Leica's: M2, MDa, M4-p, M4-2 and M6 with S.A.21, Elmarit 21, Summicron 35, Summilux 50 and Summicron 90mm. And 2 Visoflex III-mirror-houses and bellows II with compendium, which I hardly use nowadays. I also use R-Leica's: R4, RE and R8 with Fish-Eye Elmarit-R 16mm, S.A. 21, 28mm, Summicron-R 50, Summicron-R 90,Macro-Elmarit-R 100, Elmar-R 180, Apo-Telyt 2.8/280mm, Telyt 400 and 560mm. Photars 12,5mm, 25mm and 50mm. Microscopes:LEITZ HM-Lux and Dialux. BF,DF,Phase-contrast,fluorescence and opaque ill. and TTL-flash with Leica RE and/or Leica R8. Cine-camera: Arriflex 16mm and Super 16mm Video-equipment: SONY Hi-8 prof. and Betacam Sp/Sx. Several CCTV-cameras for use on the microscope. Hobbies: Cycle-racing, mountain-biking, Laurel & Hardy (member of "Sons of the Dessert", Perfect Day-tent, Holland) cooking (Italian) and camping & canoeing.
