Based on what? The M6 is from the Leica Camera Group. What is the
distinction? None!

The fact that the M6 is a rangefinder camera has nothing to do with it.
Canon and Nikon and others had/have rangefinder cameras. A Mamiya 6/7 is
not a "Leica," even though it was inspired by the M6.
