In that sense, documentary and photojournalism are the two practices in photography that get to the heart of the medium's strength. That's why I hope art photographers will derive their images in the spirit of the documentary and photojournalism tradition. In short, they should find their subjects in the field behind the viewfinder and within the camera and do their art in the same place -- the fresh and invigorating air of reality. Bob
