I've just controlled 250 or 300 slides (E100s, exposed at 125 ASA), taken with the 1.4/35 ASPH Summilux at f/1.4 to f4.0. I found no double shapes in the out-of-focus areas, not in one pic. The change from (unsharp to) sharp to unsharp areas is rather sudden, even on distances up to 7 to 10 meters, similar as if taken with a "hard" 90 mm (hence not the 2/90 Summicron) or a 135 mm at max opening or one f-stop above. In my mind, the rather "hard" management of out-of focus areas is in conflict or inconsistent with double shapes. At least, I've never seen a _hard_ lens which produces double shapes in the out-of-focus areas. -Alf
