Try the Sekonic L308B-II.  It is about the size of the 318 but does not have
that protruding, swiveling meter cell apparatus on the top, plus it's more
ergonomic so it feels better in the hand.  It also meters flash.  Just a tad
bigger is the Shepherd Polaris.
