Hans,
I believe that Sonke is the correct spelling. He is the product
manager for the M range, and is not, to my understanding, responsible
for manufacturing quality control. He may, reading between the lines a
little in his response to me, be attempting to address design and
specification quality control.
I think that he's really about product development, esp. new lenses.
BTW, the R series product manager left the company recently. I believe
that he, like Sonke, is a young man.

I wonder, is SP the contemporary "Meister Uhl", ie is he directly involved
in quality check of modern M6 production, or is he more involved in
developing new products? BTW I think he spells his name Sohnke, correct me
if I am wrong, German LUGers!
