Yes!!

I bought a new M6 body during the $300 rebate period and sent in the card as
requested. I got nothing back for the longest while (4 months). I was
expecting at least the rebate check. Finally I called Leica and spoke to a
very nice woman who found my reg card, explained that I needed to send a
copy of my receipt to get the rebate and that she would set aside my reg
card until she received my receipt copy. Sure enough, within a week of
sending my receipt to her attention I got both the rebate check and the
letter with the plastic Passport card.

The explanation of why it took so long was that they were changing
registration database systems and were hopelessly backlogged and that the
rebate programs were doing their job stimulating sales and that made the
backlog even worse.
