Jim Brick asked:

<snip> I have a question. Does the end of the lens (the filter threads)
rotate when focussing and/or zooming? My question stems around a polarizer.
Will you have to re-adjust the polarizer after focussing/zooming?
<snip>

The front end of the lens rotates when focusing. It does not rotate when
zooming. The reason Leica gave for this rotating lens was to make the lens
more compact. Since I don't use filters all that often, it won't affect my
photos. Although I would like to get back into using polarizing filters.
I got away from them using the M camera and lenses. So you have to focus
and then reset your polarizing filter.
