If you meter the subject properly, and have taken care to block the light source either with the subject or something else, the falloff becomes a nonfactor. Also, sometimes when you have a shot where the subject is centered, the tunneling effect from the falloff works to isolate the center of the frame from the stuff at the edges. Regards, Ben W.
