Esthetic qualities yes, impact yes, >presentation yes, ooo & aahh yes, TECHNICAL qualities NO. > > I agree with you. Most certainly the n of dots per line is larger in a MF than in a 35mm format. OTH, I remember also Dr. Paul Wolff, who already wrote in 1935 ("Meine Erfahrungen mit der Leica"), which I luckily inherited, that he enhances his exhibition pics up to 1.10 m or 1.20 m. And, since nobody believed his words, he simply invited everybody into his darkroom and proved it ... Some lenses of today are better than the fresh developed, rather soft Summar ;-), and (most of) the other stuff also, films, papers, chemicals - so let's tell him also (besides the dots per line): "Have courage, guy. Take your M-Leica, if it's your "third eye". Try it. And when you are careful with the rest of the stuff also, you _certainly_ will make it!" - -Alf PS: Sieff showed almost exclusively enhancements of his 35 mm formats (because hardly anybody wanted his Hassy pics), and sold a lot of stuff. At least, he says so in his books.
