Do you have a filter on the lens? If so, after you remove it, accidently
drop and step on it. Any filter with back or late sun is a recipe for
flare. If no filter, is you front lens surface ABSOLUTELY clean and clear?
Is there any trace if haze between the elements? And last but not least,
how good is the coating on this lens? These are the things that cause flare.
