I don't know, but someone discussed this before. I have only a hazy
rememberance about it.( I think something about electrical compensation
and correction of the lens apertures as represented by the mechanical
linkage - so that the apertures reflected to the camera are the actual
openings????  And then I may have been dreaming.)  If something like this
is done, both the shutter speeds and the apertures used  would be
measured extremely closely.  OTOH I wonder how much diffrence it would
make in the real world.  I don't think Ted has any problem using non ROM
lenses.
