But having shot with the other camera gear on occaision (just for the hell of it to make my Leicas worry that I might trade them in!) :) I'd take the R8 over either the Nikon or the Canon, even the R8 sans motor. :) I wish they'd hurry up I'm getting blistered advance lever thumb! :) I know I go on about the R8 almost adnauseum at times, but it truly is quite a camera and the pick of the litter of all the cameras on the market. Now I'm bias I know, but what the hell I've grown old enough I can be a wee bit bias. :) The first time I put an R8 in my hands I knew right away I wanted three of these machines. It was like instant bonding as the camera felt so comfortable and when I put the camera to my eye the view finder did it's magic and I was hooked.:) Yep the other machines had some of the same bits and pieces over the years but this is a Leica and uses Leica glass, so that about answers why I couldn't use anything else in a serious manner. Just my humbled bias re-action. :) ted
