Ted Grant,

I'll grant ( no pun intended ) you that the the R8's metering is awesome indeed;
however, another feature that surprised me is the fact that mirror vibration, at
the lower shutter speeds, is well controlled.  I've gotten some great low light
shots 
that match the best that I've been able to get with my M6.

Maybe some of the more technical gurus on this forum can explain to us what
Leica
did, in the R8, to dampen mirror vibration, at the lower shutter speeds :-)! All
in all,
I really love my two chrome R8s!
