Subject: M6 basic lenses

Hello Luggers:

Been following this usenet (group) for sometime now. I'm interested in
getting an M6 myself but cannot afford the real exotic Leica lenses like
the 1.4 aspherical lenses, etc.

I'm thinking of starting out with the ff. lenses. 35/2.0 Summicron, 50/2
Summicron, and the 90/2.8 Elmarit.

Can anyone tell me if these lenses are as good or comparable to the more
expensive counterparts like 35/1.4 asp, 50/1.4 summilux and the 90/2.0
summicron in terms of optical quality and built. I hardly shoot low light
situations so the extra stop or so won't matter much. What I'm concern is
the quality @ middle apertures 5.6-8 or 11.

Also I'm planning on getting these items new, is there a serial number I
should follow into so as to not get a "old" lens paying for a brand new
price lens ?

Would greatly appreciate some inputs,

Ferdinand
