The 2.8/85 Culminar is a solid performer, on par with Schacht, but certainly not up to Zeiss or Nikon/Canon standards. Reasonably good saturation and illumination, good resolution and contrast, all at several stops down. At f/4, you'd be better off with an Elmar.
