My 2 cents on "which one"...the M7W & 35 f/0.5 ASSHOLICAL (both in unobtanium finish), with mind-to-viewfinder interface (this by-passes the need to raise the camera to eye level to shoot...) When the new chips are available from Leica to link the image from the lens right into my hexium-chip based PC, I'd add that as an upgrade to the ultimate 'feel/look/something' combo. I understand from that both the M7W and new lens will only be available from top-notch jewelry stores, rather than from traditional Leica dealers, however. Gotta go and get my tongue removed from my cheek now. Candidly yours, Alistair ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: which one, (not for Alistair) Author: "Lucien_vD@compuserve.com" <Lucien_vD@compuserve.com> at Internet Date: 5/21/97 7:19 AM tmwyse@centuryinter.net wrote: <<<If you had to pick one Leica based on "feel", "looks", that mysterious and undefinable "something" that makes them what they are, and finally the ability to take fine photographs. Together with the 35/2 chrome (present), 50/1,4 chrome (1994) (or 50/2 chrome (1993/94) if I want to use the polfilter) and 90/2,8 tele-elmarit (1974/90). *The Noctilux had give me great joy but also some great disappointment, that I never had with the other lenses but the former summilux 35/1,4 for different reasons.
