They have cleaved to this since the days of b&w >movies, even though the development of panchromatic film in the 1930's >changed the colour of our safelights from red to dark yellow-green. It is even worse when they show someone printing COLOR photos under the red light. I have never "seen" anyone print color as everywhere I have done it it is in very near total darkness!
