This allowed you to store two lenses back to back and take up less space in the bag, really convient for shorter lenses. In addation to taking up less space it would keep the lenses from banging into each other in the bag. I would imagine that a couple of extra rear caps would be cheaper than the retaining ring also it allows the elements to be protected when one lens is in use. >I saw an interesting photo with a lens retainer which allows one to store >two Leica M lenses back-to-back. > It looks as if this type of lens storage would save some space in a >camera bag. >Are there any lens combinations for which this will not work, and how >practical is this retaining ring as an accessory? > >-GH Harrison McClary hmphoto@delphi.com http://people.delphi.com/hmphoto
