Your observation re glass manafacturing makes perfect sense. However, was
the issue under discussion not "glass" in the sense of lenses ("objectieven"
in Dutch), rather than "glass" in the sense of raw material?

Heard anything at Leica about a possible merger/takeover/cooperation between
Leica and Contax (Kyocera)?
