Good Day!!

All of the Nikonos line had fairly quiet shutters-- A property not of the
shutter itself, but of the "seal" -- being neoprene/rubber absorbing the
sound energy rather that transmitting it through the metal of the body or
leaking it through the cracks, as an "M" would do.  I should think that
this, combined with its inherent features for not needing to look through
the finder to shoot( as only a UW camera would have) should make it very
nice for candids indeed.  Keep your seals in good shape, though, if
you're going to shoot in a great deal of rain.
