Hello Andy,

it is not a bad lens at all. I'm only using the Novoflexar 400mm head.
But not very often, I must confess. I bought it some years ago, when I
used Canon FD. It was the only 400mm I could afford.
When I'm using it, I do it for "special things" like sunset-pix or so.
Sometimes I used it for some small birds.
Anyway it is not very easy to handle. Mostly I use it on a Manfrotto
tripod (is it called Bogen in the states?). And if their are heavily
weather, use an other tripod or a monopod for the camera!
It is not so god like my Leitz-lenses, but it is ok. The better choice is
a Leitz-head, I think.
And when you needed something for fast animals or sport, I think maybe a
AF is much better, but more expensive and not always the best choice in
optical quality, I've heard a lot of times.

Yes, I think about buying another tele. But it seems to me, that my real
love is the M. And there I have this wonderful Summicron 90......
Unfortunaly my photo dealer will close down next saturday, but I hope
there will be a reopening at summer. Then I'll try the vario or a 180mm
for the R.
When I need something a little bit more than 90mm, I use my Zeiss 180mm
on Hasselblad. It is amazing! Maybe I should adapt it to Leica???? Have
anyone tried out this????

BTW: My name, and adress, is not Hendnik, but HendRik, which is the dutch
version of Henri. There the delievery problems depends on.

Best wishes
Hend r ik
