I bought a Gossen Pilot II when I purchased my M4-P, thinking that a
small batteryless meter would be a nice adjunct to the camera.
Unfortunately, what I found is that the Gossen Pilot is very limited
in metering range ... when I really needed in a meter is something that
will work better in low available light because average daylight and
shade situations I can judge the exposure requirements accurately enough
by eye. Also, the Pilot III looks to be more cheaply made than I like.

I traded the Pilot II, my old Minolta Autometer III and my even way
older Gossen Luna Pro when I bought my Sekonic L328. It was a good
change for me, I got a much more modern, accurate, easier to use
meter out of the deal, and flash metering capabilities to boot.
