Hi!

Mine is the Minolta-made-in-Nippon model. The later (Solms-made) version is
optically identical, but completely re-designed mechanically - with a
non-rotating (polarizer friendly!) front element.

My Minolta made one has the true "Leica feel" to the mount, and is very well
made - certainly better than the Minolta equivalent I've tried. However,
I've never tried the German made one, so I can't comment on how much (if
any) better it is mechanically.

Unless you use a polarizing filter a lot, I'd save the money!

Cheers!
