The choice is not, at least in my Eudora, between a reply option where you have to reproduce the whole old message, or a new message with no part of the old message. The reply option can be used without re-sending the whole message to which you are replying; I did it here, when I reproduced only the parts of your message that I wanted to discuss. You just delete those parts of the message that are not relevant to the reply. Of course you are right if you want to say that people should take the time to do this editing so we all don't have to re-read everything. I also suggest that where possible the reply be above the old bits, to make it quicker for those who remember the thread (yes, I know I didn't do that here, but that's because I thought readers needed to see part of your old message first). - --Charlie Charles E.
