Subject: Leica -->EOS adapter- it does come off (eventually)

OK, I've calmed down now, and I got it off. I'm not delirious, but I'm
relieved. After meditating on this for a while I tried to push the
remaining tiny spike (what was left after the knob came off) *away* from
the lens, in the direction of the where the camera body would have been
had it been mounted on one. The adapter came off. Now that I know that,
it looks like a more functional design that it did before, but still not
award material. I guess the usefulness of a device really can be
affected by the quality of the instructions that accompany it.

Maybe I'm being a bit obtuse here. Maybe I should have just known what
way to push the thing? If I'd just sat and thought about it long enough,
it would have come to me eventually that that was the way to move the
little gizmo. Now, if only they had said what to do in the
instructions... Still. All I need now is decide what to do with the
adapter. Not as bad as I thought. Tamron Adaptall, all is forgiven...
