Subject: Leica prices from all around the world

Hi Leica world,

Since flight prices are now very low, I propose to make
a digest from prices of Leica stuff from all around the
world. The purpose being to locate the best place to buy
our favourite brand.

I chose a few samples in the M series. Please answer to this message
mentionning your local prices, translated into US $ at the current rate
for simplicity, including taxes.

I start with Paris (France), Oct 96:

M6 body (black or chromed) : 17780 FF = 3440 US$
1.4/35 Asph M (black)      : 18980 FF = 3671 US$
2/35 M (black)             :  9490 FF = 1835 US$
2/50 M (black)             :  6790 FF = 1313 US$
2.8/90 M (black)           :  8390 FF = 1623 US$ 

hope it's cheaper in your place...
