While I agree with Brian, the consumer has a choice. Decide what you want to accomplish, buy those things one at a time. Heck, one of my 135mm M lenses was made sometime around 1954, works very well, and ran a couple of hundred bucks for a mint-. The units purchased new are much faster, which is nice but not a real must have. I consider myself a learner. There are members of this list who are real resource people ... and often disagree with one another! Those disagreements are usually well stated, and are learning experiences themselves! One of the outstanding qualities of the Leica List (and the Rollei List) is the civilized tone established by Brian Reid. Having observed the rat nests on Usenet, I much prefer being called an "idiot" in a civilized manner ... and then learning why, or why I am not an "idiot." Start small, work up, do it over time, and remember this is a hobby. Oh, I forgot, there are mandatory blood sacrifices to Solms! Glenn -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Glenn Wm.
