Dear Hubert, Please take note that grinding aspherical lenses is *much* more expensive than high-precision blank moulding due to the large number of "rejects". It appears to be that grinding aspherical lenses is very cost-inefficient. That's why the S'lux-M 1.4/35 mm ASPHERICAL (with two aspherical ground surfaces, only 2000 made) is more expensive than the S'lux-M 1.4/35 mm ASPH. (with one moulded aspherical surface). I don't expect Leica to make ground aspherical lenses in the future. Greetings, Bert
