Subject: Kilfitt lenses?

At the San Mateo photo flea market on Saturday, I saw a bunch of old
Kilfitt 300/5.6 lenses for sale. They appear to have some sort of
screw mount, to have coated elements, and to be solidly constructed.
Are these likely to be Leica thread mount lenses? About how old might
they be, and were they considered to be of high quality when they were
first built? How would they compare to more modern long lenses?
