The comparison of various generations of 50mm Summicrons -- rigid and
collapsible--was interesting.  Is there an obvious way to "type" a lens in
terms of generation?  Is there a clear match between serial numbers or some
other obvious characterisitic and first, second or third generation?  If so,
it might help a lot of us if someone would post this information.
