The lenses made by Leica for the CL were designated with a C after the
     lens type, i.e. 40 Summicron-C and 90 Elmar-C. The lenses made by
Minolta and Leitz lens marketed in Japan were designated M-Rokkor.
The 40 M-Rokkor was marketed with the CL and the subsequent CLE. The
90 M-Rokkor is of two versions. The Leitz produced one which is
basically an Elmar-C with a 40.5 filter thread and a Minolta 90 made
for the subsequent CLE. The 28 M-Rokkor was specifically made for the
     CLE.

I don't have the book in front of me, but off the top of my head I
believe that Leica and Minolta both made their own versions of the
40mm f2 lens, the Leica version called a Summicron-C and the Minolta
version called a Rokkor-C. The 90mm f4 lens was only made in Germany
by Leica, but was shipped with two names, either Elmar-C or Rokkor-C.
