No, no, no!  HEKTOR was the dog.  The Tessar clone Leitz normal lens began
life as an "E(rnst) L(eitz) M(ax Berek)", or Elmax;  a major reworking
caused it to be renamed the Elmar.  Max had two dogs, Hektor and Rex, and
thus the Hektor and Summarex names.
