No, it was done for economy reasons. They didn't have to put the mechanism in for that particular feature, like in the R4 so that it would cost less, which was the goal of th R4s in the first place. The reason they put it back in the R4sP, which is a later camera (along with adding the Mary Forscher bracketing device and bigger knobs and a new node selector with bigger detents) was becasue of so many complaints at not seeing the shutter speeds in the viewfinder. I remember Jim Stanfield at National Geographic had all his R4s cameras converted to show it, that was the first time I had seen the modification. ========================== Eric Welch Grants Pass Daily Courier
