It will have a higher flash synchronization speed - perhaps 1/250th of a second and possibly a built in motor drive. One of the negatives of the R7 is the rather bulky and heavy motor winder/motor drive unit. Perhaps our German collegues have more information on the R8. I would be most interested in hearing from them. Paul Collura
